Slightly better appetite today.  Might as well post now before things get crazier this evening, but I plan my meals ahead anyway so it shouldn’t matter.  

Brunch:

Mixed greens salad with ranch barbecue dressing, whole wheat croutons, and 1/2 can of tuna - 200 calories

2 Milk Chocolate covered Pocky - 25 calories

Coffee with skim milk

Dinner/New Years Celebration:

Small package baby carrots - 35 calories

1 scrambled egg white with salsa - 40 calories

1 light english muffin with butter spray and elderberry jam - 125 calories

2 glasses sparkling wine - 180 calories

Total: 605

Time to go do some laps on the treadmill.  Feeling great!

Down to 133.9 this morning, but I suspect I am dehydrated due to being sick.

I am really sick.  At least I got a little bit of half and half in my coffee. 

Edit: Also got to eat a hot biscuit before I hit the bed at 9 p.m. ^____^

Today’s Foods 12/28/2010

Felt great today.  I think my sickness broke last night.  I am still feeling a little off, but a lot better than before.

Breakfast:

2 cups of coffee with skim milk - 15 calories

Lunch:

5 strawberries - 15 calories

5 pepperocinis - 5 calories

1 cup of skim milk - 90 calories

Dinner:

2 southwestern egg rolls (black beans, corn, tomato and cilantro) - 300 calories

1/2 can of southwestern soup, added half a white potato, sriracha, and 1 tsp olive oil - 150 calories

1/2 egg scrambled with salsa - 35 calories

1 lindor truffle - 70 calories

Snacks: 

1/2 bag smartpop kettlecorn - 50 calories

Green tea with honey - 15 calories

Total: 745

I expected to go over 600 today and doubled the amount of walking I normally do.

2 cups green beans cooked with chicken broth, 1 tsp olive oil, and 1 white potato

2 cups of raw spinach with red pepper vinegar dressing and canned tuna

1 cup green tea

3 cough drops and 1 Tbs day-quil (am sick)

Intro

This blog tracks my progress to lose 22 pounds on a CR (calorie restriction) diet. Hopefully this will take me from 140 pounds to 118 pounds and put me one pound above having an underweight BMI.  I have already lost about 6 pounds in the past month.  

This is not anorexia. I am not striving to be a size 0, but I am trying to increase my health through restriction and more mindful eating. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CRON-diet.   

Once I reach my goal weight I intend to eat a 1200 calorie per day diet as a lifestyle. While this would be low for most people, my basal metabolic rate is unusually slow and I burn only about 1500 calories per day. 

My ultimate goal is to extend my life, delay aging, and remain healthy by slowing my metabolism.  

I work in the legal field and, therefore, have a very busy, stressful, and sedentary lifestyle, but I try to fit in about 30 minutes a walking per day.
